Just an ideal choice for a momentary pause in North River with good value. The breakfast buffet blew me away, especially the blueberry pancakes. Bring bug spray if you're heading to Thirteen Lake during the season.

Couple's cozy escape
The breakfast buffet was filling. pancakes, bacon, eggs and juice were ready every morning which started our day right. We even got to sit outside and enjoy the mountain view with our meal, really set the mood for a relaxing day ahead.
It wasn't cheap, but it was still acceptable.

One of the highlights of our stay was the private beach on Thirteenth Lake, perfect for swimming and kayaking. We enjoyed the family-friendly atmosphere while relaxing with our special needs son's autism support dog, and the staff made accommodations that ensured a pleasant experience.
My children wanted more dining options for picky eaters.

The location of Garnet Hill Lodge is simply stunning. Surrounded by mountains, the views are breathtaking. My room had a lovely outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying the fresh air. The breakfast options were generous. I appreciated the fixings for lunch available after breakfast. The dining room had a nice atmosphere too, although the dinner menu felt limited and somewhat pricey. Service was friendly, but there were moments of long wait times, especially during peak hours. My biggest frustration was the lack of air conditioning. the heat in my room made it uncomfortable at times. Housekeeping also needs attention. it felt like basic tasks were overlooked. The rustic charm of the lodge added to its character, but modern touches could improve the overall experience. I enjoyed kayaking on nearby Thirteenth Lake, making it a memorable stay despite the few hiccups.

The homemade pancakes were simply epic and paired beautifully with a side of crispy bacon—just what I needed to fuel my day. Plus, the cozy Log House Standard Room was a real gem. comfy beds and rustic vibes made for a delightful retreat. And you can’t forget about the helpful staff who shared great tips for exploring the area—it felt like I was chatting with locals.
Really not much to report here. the access to the private beach at Thirteen Lake was a bit of a trek—definitely easier by car, but still, it was a refreshing walk. So, while the lodge keeps its rustic charm with lots of wildlife, some may find the lack of modern touches a tad rough around the edges.

great location but some improvements needed
The views from my room were stunning, with a beautiful garden view that made mornings delightful. The breakfast options were generous and delicious, particularly the homemade oatmeal that kept me fueled for the day. I appreciated the easy access to hiking trails, especially the short trek to OK Slip Falls which was breathtaking.

Charming rustic retreat!
Our stay was lovely! The staff was super friendly, and we got amazing tips on where to hike. Breakfast in the main lodge was hearty, loved the pancakes! Just a heads up, the uphill walk from the teahouse to the lodge can be a bit tiring after a long day of fun. Overall, a fabulous getaway!
